Upon Arrival

Getting To Carnegie Mellon

General directions to the Carnegie Mellon University campus are provided here.  See also Google's directions.

If you arrive from the airport by bus (line 28X - click here for schedule), you need to get off the bus at its last stop (which happens to be right at Carnegie Mellon's campus) and follow the signage to the ICML registration desk. Please consult campus map for details. Note that in order to get on the bus at the airport you will have to have the exact cash fare of $2.25.

If you arrive by taxicab or by hotel shuttle please ask to be dropped off at the Carnegie Mellon University Center drop off circle, and then follow signage to the registration desk. Please arrange with your hotel a return transportation to the hotel. Most of the local hotels offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from nearby destinations.

If you arrive by car follow signs to the East Campus Garage.

Parking

If you have purchased a parking pass, you will need to pick this up at the Conference and Housing Desk in the Registration area (see below for directions, and business hours, for the desk).

It is likely you will want to park before you come to the registration desk :)  If you need to park before you can reach the desk, it is not a problem.  Simply approach the garage, take a ticket from the gate of entry, and enter the garage.  You may exit the garage (on Saturday or Sunday) with this same ticket at no charge.  Parking is free on weekends.  You may also (enter and) exit with your prepaid card once you obtain it from the desk.

Once you get your prepaid ticket (or purchase one from the Conference and Housing Desk) you may use that card to park in the garage through Thursday, June 29.  Do not lose your prepaid ticket.  Even though it is only a paper ticket, it is valid through the date above, and you must reuse it.

After June 29, if you continue to park, you will pay the standard parking rate of $8.50 per day.
